Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen Welcome a Baby Girl: ‘Incredibly Grateful and Blessed’
NFL star Josh Allen and his actress wife Hailee Steinfeld have welcomed their first child together, just three months after the couple announced that they were expecting.
The happy couple, who split their time between their homes in Buffalo, NY, and California, shared the news via Steinfeld's Substack newsletter, "Beau Society," where they revealed that their first-born child is a baby girl.
"Our baby girl has arrived!!" they wrote, while sharing a cartoon image of a stork delivering a newborn. "We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes."
Steinfeld and Allen, both 29, did not reveal exactly when their daughter was born, nor did they share her name.
For the most part, the couple has been incredibly private about their pregnancy journey, with Steinfeld revealing in a previous installment of her newsletter that she spent the initial months after learning she was expecting hunkering down at her husband's sprawling Buffalo estate.
However, it's thought that the couple chose to welcome their child in California—where they both own homes, and where Allen was born and raised.
While they never shared their due date publicly, Steinfeld's decision to skip the Academy Awards in March sparked furious speculation that she had, or was soon going to give birth.

During his acceptance speech for best actor, her "Sinners" co-star Michael B. Jordan gave the actress a shout out, noting that she had chosen not to attend the prestigious event because she was "getting ready to have a baby right now."
In February, Steinfeld shared a sweet photo of herself showing off her growing bump while perched on the countertop in her kitchen, while Allen sat in front of her on a stool.
The photo was included in a "Beau Society" post about the actress's fashion journey throughout her pregnancy, during which she explained that she'd largely been able to hide her bump for the first few months, because she was living in Buffalo, where the frosty temperatures required her to bundle up.
"Luckily, I spent a good part of my pregnancy in cold, snowy Buffalo, so I was wearing a lot of large sweaters and jackets—not because I was uncomfortable with my body changing, but because I had to bundle up to stay warm. And I wasn’t really showing until I got back home," she shared.
"Home" for Steinfeld is a stunning Encino dwelling that she purchased from rocker John Fogerty for $8 million in 2021.
The actress' property spans an impressive 9,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Much like Allen's abode in Buffalo, it has a sizable pool, which can be accessed via a motorized window wall between the main living area and the backyard.
Meanwhile, Allen holds the keys to a beautiful beach house in Dana Point, CA, which had had previously attempted to sell, listing it for $8.5 million in July 2025, just a few weeks after he and Steinfeld tied the knot.
However, after Steinfeld revealed that they were expecting their first baby together, Allen swiftly pulled the home from the market.
Allen snapped up the 2,808-square-foot property for $7.2 million in 2023 through a trust managed by his financial adviser, Troy Nunes. Allen is believed to have spent a considerable amount of time during the offseason at the abode, soaking up the warm weather after a traditionally frosty Buffalo winter.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling is located inside a "prestigious" guard-gated community that features its own private beach club—and proximity to a host of five-star resorts, including the Ritz-Carlton.
According to the listing, the property embodies "classic mid-century California architecture" and "is set behind the exclusive 24-hour guard-gated enclave of Monarch Bay.
"Positioned on one of the neighborhoods larger private lots, it offers exceptional potential in a highly sought-after coastal community."
Surrounded by lush greenery, the modern pad welcomes guests with a black-and-white facade and gated entrance.
It's thought that the duo are largely basing themselves out of Steinfeld's Encino abode when they are in California however, where they will likely remain for the next couple of months, until Allen has to return to Buffalo for pre-season training, which will likely kick off in June or July.
Luckily, they will have plenty of privacy at Allen's Buffalo abode, which he had custom built on a parcel of land he bought in 2021 for the relatively low price of $500,000.
Located in the tony community of Orchard Park, approximately eight minutes from the Bills' home field at Highmark Stadium, the home features a stunning swimming pool, a pool house, and a sport court that can be used for both basketball and tennis.
Steinfeld and Allen announced their pregnancy news to the world in December, when they shared a video of the NFL star kissing his wife's bump in front of a snowy backdrop—which was later revealed to have been the Bills quarterback's Buffalo home.
