Inside Look: Linda’s La Cantina Steakhouse – Open in Orlando since 1947

Linda’s La Cantina Steakhouse is one of Orlando’s longest-running restaurants, serving the city from 4721 E. Colonial Drive since 1947. It began as Edie and Rudy’s La Cantina after Rudy and Edie Seng took over an Italian restaurant, then gradually shifted into the old-school steakhouse it is known as today.

Ownership later passed to their son Al and daughter-in-law Linda, and the restaurant eventually became Linda’s La Cantina. Linda died in 2011, and the family continues to run the restaurant today, with daughters Karen and Lorie and longtime chef and meat cutter Steve carrying on the business.

They feature a classic steakhouse menu with house-aged, hand-cut steaks cooked on a steel flat grill, checkered tablecloths, a dim dining room.

A must try is the La Cantina Large T-Bone ($54), a full 2-pound steak with both New York strip and filet on the bone.

Add a loaded baked potato, house salad with blue cheese dressing, French onion soup or the Crown Onion for the classic Linda’s experience.
